Slat Foundation - Canadian Wood

Recommended to allow our Natural Foam Rubber mattress to "breathe" (ensure proper air circulation) or to replace your existing boxspring

Given our mission is to offer you least chemical exposure, our slat foundations come with organic cotton based fabric, Canadian pine wood, and natural fire retardant protection (we use wool instead of fire retardant chemicals or preservatives)

Unlike conventional slat foundations made with engineered wood (which are manufactured by binding or fixing the strands, particles, fibres, or veneers or boards of wood, together with adhesives, or other methods of fixation to form composite material) and using polyester based fabric covering, our slat foundations are built to simply provide least chemical exposure (e.g., no Powder Coated Iron), uniform support, and unmatched comfort.

Wood

• The inner wood slats are fitted and covered in a heavy-duty organic cotton fabric.
• 2 inch wide slats are spaced 2-2.5" between slats allows for ample air circulation.
• Cabinetry techniques help eliminate cracking noises through the use of extra-strong wood slats and owing to sound, fitted, supportive box-style frames.
• Sustainably harvested pine and plywood - no offgassing

Quilted cover

• Heavy duty 100% GOTS certified organic cotton cover
• Inner 2oz PureEmbrace Joma Wool quilt layer acts as natural fire retardant 

Customization

• Total foundation height available in 4.5" or 9.5"
• Ability to add 5" pine wood legs to the foundation 

FAQs

Can this foundation simply rest on the floor?

No. Ideally it should reside within a separate wood bed frame or legs, elevated above the ground to permit fresh air flow.

Does the foundation require assembly when received?

No - just remove packaging.

You indicate it is designed for your mattresses. Can it be used with other latex mattresses?
Yes, it can be used with any mattress that meets North American standard bed dimensions for twin, twin-xl full, queen, King and Cali King.
