**Position**: Website Upgrade Specialist

**Location**: Canada (Must be a Canadian resident, between ages 15-30, as per government funding program requirements)

**Job Description**:
We are currently running our website on Joomla and Virtuemart and are looking to upgrade to WordPress with WooCommerce. The ideal candidate should have:

- Experience in migrating websites from Joomla to WordPress.
- Proficiency in WooCommerce and its integration with WordPress.
- A strong understanding of website design, user experience, and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices to enhance website visibility.
- Experience in responsive and mobile-friendly design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Planning and executing the migration of our website from Joomla to WordPress, using child themes to ensure future upgrading of core templates
- Setting up and customizing WooCommerce to fit our e-commerce needs - supporting multi-currency based on IP, affiliates, SEF, integrating inventory  and cloud based accounting platforms.
- Ensuring data integrity during the migration process.
- Testing the website functionality across various devices and browsers - expect the new site to perform even better than current pagespeed scores
- Providing ongoing support and maintenance post-migration.
