We love this bedframe for its natural grain, sense of style accentuated with angled legs.

This design has the headboard panel standing proud above the mattress - The linear headboard stands 39 1/2″ tall with a 13″ panel while the footboard is 14″ tall with an 5″ panel.

Complete your organic bedroom with a maple/oak wood bed frame made with a natural wood finish. These bed frames are handcrafted in USA using only the finest and simplest materials:

1. Wood

Our bed frames are available from from North American sourced maple or oak:

  • The wood is truly untreated, not even exposed to any fungicides when initially cut
  • The wood travels to Utah, where its pieces are assembled by hand
  • These bed frames are made to fit industry standard bed mattress sizes

2. Slats

Note: Natural rubber mattresses require a maximum 2.75" space between each supporting wood slat to properly support it- we advise you purchase an extra set of poplar sets if you sleep on a natural rubber mattress.

  • Each slat is 2" wide
  • 1.8” spacing between slats and 5” tall rails
  • Slats are made of poplar wood (compared to conventional beds which use laminate to seal the wood and can contain harmful toxic chemicals)
  • Our Standard Slat roll has (19/20/21 depending on size Twin-> King) – 1/2” x 1 3/4” slats, with a 3.2” gap. This is included with your bed frame.
  • Extra Slats are a second roll of (14) – 1/2” x 1 3/4” slats that nest inside the included Standard slats for a total of (29) with a gap of .5” between each slat

3. Weight

We don't list static weight as that's not what breaks a frame.

It's the dynamic weight - e.g., our bedframe can support 6 people getting on the frame slowly vs 1 person 250lbs+ jumping on it

Extra weight support has been included when ordering taller legs all Queen - King/Cal King frames.

4. Finish

Select 'Untreated' or

'Treated' - i.e., to finish the wood, we use Zero VOC, Solvent Free hemp oil.

5. Assembly

Example of Bed Assembly

The typical height for the bed frame (from the ground to base of the mattress frame) is 11.5"

All frames come with a Center Support, two on Cal King/King

6. Glues

We use Titebond 3 to glue just the headboard panels

The pieces are then fastened using metal hardware, to reduce the use of toxic glues or chemical fasteners.

These four elements come together to form a superior bed frame- ideal for those with chemical sensitivities to toxic glues, laminates and finishes often found in conventional bed frames.

Superior form, superior function, superior strength.

Add-ons:

  • Need under the bed storage space? Consider adding a set of drawers, such as the ones seen here. These drawers have a maple/oak front and sides and a poplar backing. They have 4 wheels that allow them to roll smoothly under any of our bed frames. Great for kids bedrooms! 2 in a set.
