Many dust mite encasements exist on the market but if you have concerns about offgassing plastic and prefer NO plastic - something organic that will ensure dust mites stay clear - this is the hypoallergenic dust mite pillow encasement for you.

WHY USE PLASTIC IN OTHER DUST MITE COVERS?

Typically plastic is used to provide waterproofing - it can help contain off-gassing, act as a barrier against bed mites, bed bugs, dust mites and other creepy crawlies we don't want to think about as we sleep.

THE ISSUE WITH CONVENTIONAL PLASTIC

The plastic used in conventional hypoallergenic pillow cases often the source of off-gassing (not ideal if you'd rather not inhale volative organic compounds as you sleep).

THE SOLUTION

We sourced an organic cotton based dust mite cover with NO plastic:

• Uses tightly woven, lighter fabric, 260 thread count GOTS certified 100% organic cotton only
• Dust mites measure from 100 to 300 microns and their feces can be as small as 10 microns which could break through many fabrics
• Our 260 threadcount 100% GOTS certified organic cotton barrier fabric was lab tested by Porous Materials, Inc in New York, USA and proved to have an average pore size of 4.4731 microns ( i.e., dust mite feces which measures 10 microns are too big and cannot pass through the tightly woven organic cotton fabric with 4.4731 microns pore size) 
• Nylon Zipper with Zinc alloy metal slider and polyester tape

DOES IT FEEL LIKE SLEEPING ON A PIECE OF CARDBOARD?

• No. It's slightly firmer than a sheet, absolutely not like cardboard!
• Uses a lighter weight fabric; you'll barely notice any difference over time
